Diesel Technician


  • Prepare vehicle records and report both manually and on a computer
  • Perform repairs and preventative maintenance to mediumto heavyduty vehicles
  • Performsafety inspections of equipment and prepare safety documentation required
  • Complywith all applicable laws/regulations, as well as company policies/procedures
  • Inspect and perform work on the under parts of vehicles
  • Move parts to and from the job site and remove or install these parts on vehicles
  • Interact with clients through both email or phone as necessary
  • Perform other duties as required

Key Competencies and Minimum Education

  • At least 5 years experience performing vehicle maintenance on Diesel Medium - Heavy duty vehicles
  • Valid Driver License required
  • Must be able to operate a manual transmission vehicle to determine if operating properly
  • Must provide own hand tools & toolbox.
  • Knowledge of hand held scan toolsand the process ofdiagnosing vehicles.
  • Ability to read schematics and familiar with process
  • Proficient computer skills:knowledgeof Excel, Word, Fleet Management Systems, and Email
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills (documentation, communication with peers, supervisors, etc.)

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
